How to: Install Additional/Third Party/Other Fonts in Kubuntu
Fonts are still a common issue for user’s migrating to Linux. I myself admit that it ain’t easy to deal with the default font rendering of Linux coming from the usual style of windows have. Then you have this dilemma on how you could import or install the fonts that you have in windows before. Don’t worry, it’s not a tedious task to do. It will just require you some browsing, copying and pasting. That’s all you need. But how?
Install Additional Fonts in Kubuntu
- Collate all your fonts, Download if you want to and have it in one folder for easy access.
- Once your done. Copy all the fonts in that folder.
- Browse the folder /etc/fonts in Kubuntu (you must have admin access) and paste all the files.
- On the left side of Dolphin File Manager, you will see a link to install the fonts. Or simply double-click it. That’s it!
